Mini Master Class: 10 Ways to Make Linkedin Work for You
I want to extend a special “Thank you!” to Tamera Gore, Regional Field Sales Manager for La Quinta Inns & Suites, for inviting me to host this month’s HSMAI North Carolina Members Only Leadership Energizer Series webinar.
Tamera and I began brainstorming topics a few months back. She shared with me that on prior webinars, attendees asked lots of questions specifically about LinkedIn. Lucky for me, it just happens to be one of my favorite social media platforms to talk about!
The Topic
I knew that members of the local chapter of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International would be focused on key areas. Like what? Topics like B2B sales, consumer travel trends, and sales team leadership. I took to my own LinkedIn experience and cruised the posts of my 1,700+ contacts to pull together the 10 best practices that I felt would help shift the mindset. I wanted to go from, “Think Linkedin is just for job seekers?” to “Think again! With a little bit of effort and a dash of strategy, the professional’s social media network can be the source of your next sale, great hire, or referral.”
The Webinar
I appreciate everyone who tuned in today and invite you to share the presentation deck within your organization. Couldn’t make it? Tamera was kind enough to record the presentation for us and you can join in, on-demand, here.
Keep in mind my advice to Tamera at the end of our presentation today: getting started is better than doing nothing! I don’t expect you’ll be ready to tackle all 10 tips at once… just take them one at a time. And if you run into any speed bumps, drop me an email at Lisa@RaleighwoodMedia.com. I’d be glad to review your LinkedIn personal or company page and share more ideas with you!
