Graphic Design Quick Wins for Marketing + Communications Professionals
Impactful visuals help professional communicators deliver their messages effectively and with confidence. Level up your graphic design skills with these quick wins that you can put into action today for your organization. I’d like to take a moment to thank both The Loading Dock and PRIMA’s 2022 Annual Conference leadership teams for inviting me to present on this passion topic recently. As promised, here’s where you can find a link to that presentation to revisit yourself or to share with others.
When presenting in Lumberton, NC, for PRIMA in September, I opened the floor to designer and non-designer attendees to share their best ideas for working with design professionals, too, and here’s the expanded list we developed as a small think tank that day:
- Come prepared
- Keeping stock of what’s been produced
- Set clear expectations of the time on both sides
- Determine your budget expectations
- Develop sample/ad packages
- Set frames of reference for non-users
- Remember, it’s not “just a Facebook post”
- Give good feedback, it won’t hurt our feelings
What rules of the road would you offer to expand this guidance for others in marketing and communications? Leave some thoughts in the comments below!
About the PRIMA Conference
Informative, relevant seminars were presented during the three-day conference. Anyone who is involved in public relations, information, or marketing for any constituent of the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) was encouraged to attend the conference.
