Giving Back Is Built In: Our 2022 Pledge 1% Impact
As 2022 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a part of our business that matters deeply to us—giving back.
Raleighwood Media Group is proud to be part of the Pledge 1% movement, a global initiative encouraging companies to commit at least one percent of their profits, equity, time, or products to support their communities. For us, this isn’t a box to check. It’s a mindset that shapes how we work, who we support, and how we show up for our clients and our community.
In 2022, we donated $2,198.81 in cash—well over one percent of our annual sales—to organizations aligned with our people, our values, and the causes closest to our work and the clients we support. These contributions supported a wide range of efforts, including local humane societies during times when our clients were grieving the loss of beloved pets, Triangle-area organizations like 3 Bluebirds Farm, which provides a haven for individuals with autism, and advocacy and service organizations such as Shield NC, All-In to Fight Cancer, and Note in the Pocket (through Hillman Real Estate Group at eXp Realty’s annual Undies Drive), and so much more.
We were also honored to support several departments at North Carolina State University, including the Dance Program and the College of Textiles’ Dean’s Innovation Fund—investments that reflect our belief in creativity, education, and innovation as drivers of long-term community impact.
Beyond financial giving, our team donated over 64 hours of pro bono time in 2022. This included website development, graphic design, public relations support, social media strategy, and other professional services provided at no cost to organizations and clients who needed an extra hand. While these hours don’t show up on a balance sheet, they represent a meaningful extension of our expertise—and our belief that access to strong communications and marketing tools can make a real difference.
As we close the books on 2022, we’re grateful for the clients, partners, and collaborators who made this work possible. Your trust in us allows Raleighwood Media Group + Raleighwood Event Group to do more than build brands and campaigns—it allows us to invest back into the community in ways that matter.
Thank you for being part of our journey this year. We wish you continued growth, impact, and success in 2023, and we look forward to another year of doing good work—together.
