Throwback Thursday: Crafting a Swanky Weather-Resistant Sidewalk Sign for The Haymaker

Since opening up shop back in 2008, we’ve worked on some pretty cool projects here at Raleighwood Media Group + Raleighwood Event Group. Let’s take a little trip down memory lane with “Throwback Thursday”, shall we?

Crafting a Swanky Weather-Resistant Sign for The Haymaker

In designing a weather-resistant outdoor sign for a craft cocktail bar The Haymaker in Raleigh, our team paid close attention to both aesthetic appeal and durability. Working with one of our local tried-and-true local printing partners, AlphaGraphics of Downtown Raleigh, we incorporated a gold-colored, outdoor-grade metal as the base for this sign. We used cut outdoor-grade printed vinyl as an overlay to produce a sign with resilience against Raleigh’s varying weather conditions, from scorching summers to occasional heavy rains.

The sign’s design captured The Haymaker’s unique brand aesthetics, evoking a blend of vintage charm with contemporary flair to reflect the craft cocktail spot’s eclectic spirit and laid-back luxe vibe. Additionally, we designed this metal insert sign to be secured within a Uline WindPro® Heavy Duty Snap Edge Sign to protect against fading and weathering, ensuring the sign maintains its allure for years to come amidst Raleigh’s vibrant streetscape. (The weatherproof sidewalk sign case handles winds up to 60 mph, a must in Downtown Raleigh’s wind tunnels!)
